"A music teacher once told me I’d have a very successful career as a pop artist. I was pissed.” states the young pop/blues (or as she calls it ‘Sapphire Blues’) songstress. “My dad was a professional musician and at the time I was in year six of my classical training. I had decided to go rogue and leave the classical community but I wanted to be a rock star not some ‘pop’ singer. It wasn’t until I got over myself that everything just fell into place.”
Shortly after, at the age of 19 she packed everything she could carry (and drag) and hopped on a train New York city bound to chase the dream. Six years, 5 cities and a short stint of time spent sharing a one bedroom apartment with a lovely Korean family of five in the ‘Pleasantville’ projects in New York she’s found her sound- a little pop, a little blues and a lot of sass.
With her single "Mr. Universe" being called "a fun little flip off to the fates" (Nick DeRiso) this sapphire blues songstress is just getting started.
